The Chapel was built at a cost of £3000 by George Mallinson and presented to the New Connexion.
There are four graves for George Mallinson’s family:
1. No. 292 (A horizontal tomb near the Chapel wall).
	George Mallinson  of Upper Clough, Linthwaite, died 3 April 1885, aged 66.
	Elizabeth [Betty] Mallinson widow of George, died 15 March 1907, aged 88.
	John Mallinson  son of George and Betty, died 30 May 1845, aged 5 years 1 month.
	Ellen Robson  daughter of George and Betty, died 20 May 1898, aged 48.
	George Mallinson  son of George and Betty, died 15 December 1881, aged 37.
2. No. 94 (Hexagonal pillar).
	Elizabeth Mallinson wife of Eli Mallinson of Grove House, Linthwaite, died 5 Oct 1880, aged 40.
	Eli Mallinson J.P. died at Seascale, 10 June 1909, aged 67.
	George William Mallinson eldest son, died at The Leys, Cambridge, 14 Dec 1883, aged 15.
	Joel Mallinson  son of Eli and Elizabeth, born 18 Oct 1872, died the same day.
3. No. 471 (Angel headstone).
	Mary Louisa Mallinson wife of Thomas Mallinson J.P. of Harrogate, born 29 April 1850, d. 12 Nov 1918.
	Mabel Mallinson daughter of the above, died 19 Jan 1883, aged 8 weeks.
	Thomas Mallinson born 13 April 1846, died 26 August 1941.
4. No. 472 (In line with previous two).
	Hilda Mallinson daughter of Rev. Joel and Matilda Mallinson, born 21 April 1889, died 9 April 1894.
	Rev. Joel Mallinson died 23 June 1924, aged 76.
	Matilda Mallinson wife of Joel, died 5 January 1929, aged 77.
	Ernest William Nicholas Mallinson son of the above, born 31 July 1892.
